On January 19, 2024, the Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Nikkolas Adams for manslaughter, discharging a firearm while committing a crime of violence resulting in death, assault with a dangerous weapon, to wit, a firearm, and 13 counts of possession of a large capacity feeding device.

The alleged act occurred in the City of Providence on or about July 21, 2023. The Providence Police Department conducted the investigation.

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on February 7, 2024, in Providence County Superior Court.

Oliveiro Pereira (age 35)

Pawtucket, RI

On January 19, 2024, the Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Oliveiro Pereira with two counts of first-degree child molestation, and one count of first-degree sexual assault.

The alleged acts occurred on diverse dates between December 2017 and April 2023 in the cities of East Providence and Pawtucket. The East Providence and Pawtucket Police Departments conducted the investigation.

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on February 7, 2024, in Providence County Superior Court.
