On August 15, 2024, the Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Jhogel Florentino with one count of possession of more than one kilogram of fentanyl, one count of possession of more than one kilogram of methamphetamine, one count of possession of more than five kilograms of marijuana, one count of possession of one ounce to one kilogram of cocaine, one count of possession of one ounce to one kilogram of heroin, one count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, one count of possession of a firearm with intent to deliver a controlled substance, one count of possession of a firearm with an altered or obliterated serial number, and one count of possessing a prohibited large-capacity magazine. 

The alleged acts occurred in Providence on February 16, 2024. The Rhode Island State Police conducted the investigation. 

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on August 21, 2024, in Providence County Superior Court.
