On January 10, 2024, the Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Ronald Colafrancesco with one count of first-degree domestic sexual assault, one count of domestic strangulation, two counts of domestic simple assault, and one count of domestic disorderly conduct.

The alleged act occurred in the city of Providence on or about June 24, 2023. The Providence Police Department conducted the investigation.

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on January 31, 2024, in Providence County Superior Court.
