On April 25, 2022, the Statewide Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Robert Ritacco with two counts of first-degree sexual assault.

The alleged acts occurred in the town of Westerly on May 29, 2021. The Rhode Island State Police conducted the investigation.

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on May 23, 2022, in Washington County Superior Court.
