On July 17, 2024, the Statewide Grand Jury returned an indictment charging David Ouellette with seven counts of first-degree child molestation. 

The alleged acts occurred in the Town of Coventry on dates between May 1, 1998, and September 30, 2002. The Coventry Police Department conducted the investigation.

The defendant is currently being held without bail and is scheduled for a pre-trial conference on August 13, 2024, in Kent County Superior Court.
