On June 1, 2022, the Statewide Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Rayne Henley with one count of first-degree sexual assault.

The alleged act occurred in the town of Narragansett sometime on April 8, 2022. The Narragansett Police Department conducted the investigation.

The defendant is currently being held without bail at the Adult Correctional Institutions (ACI) and is scheduled to be arraigned on June 20, 2022, in Washington County Superior Court.
