On September 11, 2023, the Statewide Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Manual Garcia Dela Cruz with one count of first-degree child molestation and one count of second-degree child molestation.

The alleged acts occurred in the City of Providence on dates between March 5, 2013, and March 5, 2022. The Providence Police Department conducted the investigation.

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on October 4, 2023, in Providence County Superior Court.
