On October 1, 2021, the Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Michael Monteiro with one count of assault with a dangerous weapon in a dwelling, three counts of conspiracy, assault with a dangerous weapon resulting in serious bodily injury, two counts of simple assault, one count of carrying a pistol without a license, one count of discharging a firearm when committing a crime of violence, and one count of breaking and entering.
The alleged acts occurred in the town of North Providence sometime on or about June 17, 2021. The North Providence Police Department conducted the investigation.
