Attorney General Neronha Releases 2022 Gun Crime Report, Data

Today Attorney General Peter F. Neronha released the Office’s statutorily required Annual Gun Crimes Report for 2022. The report provides statistics and analysis regarding firearms offenses and describes the Office’s work to fight gun violence and violent crime. The report also provides a summary of recently enacted gun violence prevention laws and the ways in which the Office is already using these new laws to make Rhode Islanders safer. Communities across Rhode Island continue to be affected by firearms-related crime, and the Attorney General remains committed to bringing the full weight of the Office’s investigatory and prosecutorial resources to bear on this issue.
