On January 5, 2022, the Statewide Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Lucio Lara with two counts of first-degree child molestation and three counts of second-degree child molestation.
The alleged acts occurred in the towns of Coventry and West Warwick sometime between December 9, 2012, and October 14, 2016. The Coventry Police Department conducted the investigation.
The defendant was arraigned on January 10, 2022 in Kent County Superior Court.
