Tariffs (August 2026)

On August 3, 2026, a coalition of 23 attorneys general and two governors filed a lawsuit in the U.S. Court of International Trade challenging the Trump Administration’s efforts to impose illegal tariffs on American consumers and businesses. We argue that these actions exceed the Administration’s legal authority and violate the Administrative Procedure Act.
